Blake was born in the Silicon Valley area of California. He graduated with
high honors from Valley Christian High School in 2006 where he published his first book,
The Dragonheroes. He went on to attend Chapman University in southern California
where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing in 2009, completing his degree
in only 3 years.
Currently, Blake is finishing his last year at Regent University's Law School in Virgina.
It was here that he completed his second book, Wings on the Horizon.
An avid reader, Blake developed an early interest in fantasy fiction. Deeply inspired by
the heroism he has found in life, literature and movies, Blake has developed a passionate
desire to inspire others through his writing. He is often found pacing, lost in thoughtful
creativity.
Not only does he paint with words on the canvases of our imaginations, he paints with sound
as well through his original compositions for piano. Intertwining his unique Celtic style
with his story lines, he creates the dramatic, thoughtful and sometimes even haunting moods
of the scenes and characters from his novels.
Blake’s father, a skilled pianist and keyboard player introduced him to the piano at
age six and has been his mentor since. Before Blake left for
college he played electronic keyboards on a worship team at
Bridges Community Church in Fremont, California. In his high school’s talent competition
Blake won first place performing the theme he composed for his warrior princess,
Ledrelyen, who is featured in his books.
Someday, Blake would love to see his music used in films based upon the series he is
writing about his world of Terralax. Perhaps this is a thing of dreams, but after all,
that is what fantasy is all about!
